Today is beginning a new Saturday...wondering how my son, Max, is doing in Germany. Haven't heard anything, so hope he is having a wonderful time. I have fond memories of living in Germany 1969-1970. He is there in the winter, and I guess he's loving it.
I need to get all my books shelved. This is becoming a huge embarrassment for me...I cannot seem to move on this project. How can I be having a great adventure if I'm stepping over books?

Where to Begin?
I took my title from my father, who told me when I married my first husband (and moved to California) that I was "embarking on a great adventure." What is a Great Adventure? It truly has been, in many ways. Some of my adventures are most likely ordinary passages of life. Others are unique, fantastic and even disturbing. But, they are uniquely mine. I have a lot of territory to cover, as I just turned sixty-two-years-of-age. I wonder, as I write, shall I try to start at the beginning of it all, or go from today, with excerpts from the past? And, shall I reach into the past to design my page? With Seymour de Wart, the great explorer in search of the madras elephant? Perhaps. Seymour was created by the artist forty-seven-years-ago! And who was the artist?
